Overall, this is an excellent compact, "forward" P & S cameras from Sony. A great combination of a large sensor, fast lenses, and small form factor that makes a camera that is ideal for travel. Here are the pros and cons in our opinion:
Pros:
* Overall quality of the images from ISO 100-400; very good (though a bit soft) image quality at ISO 800
* JPEG quality is very good, with good color and the DR, although the best RAW
* Ability exceptional low-light cameras for the classroom
* Typical-Sony video quality outstanding (especially the 1080/60p mode)
* Nice, solid build quality
* Small enough to fit inside any pocket virtually
Cons:
* The lens can be faster: This is only F1.8 at the widest, and decreased to 4.9 at the tele.
* A little over-aggressive noise reduction at
* Flash does not always come, even when it should (even in Auto)
* No GPS, No WiFi: No 3D panorama mode
* Short Battery Life
* The high price
