Mp 16.1 stunning for the camera in this price range. I actually use a digital zoom max and still have good resolution images.
Approximately two dozen scene modes (portrait, beach, sunset, etc.) that works well and is easy to choose. Text scrolls on the screen explaining your use as you move from mode to mode.
Very easy to use. Approximately 1/2 hours with the manual and camera and you can understand and start using all the features.
SEM image stabilization is very effective. I shot each hand holding it and even at max zoom like the results.
Large battery. I chrged it 1x week on vacation but that's just in case. Could have gone all week with a 100-shot.
As with most digitals camera has very little built in memory so you need to buy a memory card. I chose PNY 16 GB which has more space than I think I'll ever need.
