I suggest you take a good quality memory card and a small padded case. Although it is a small camera, either a decrease of 3 feet or more into the rock will surely leave some damage.
You will be very impressed with the picture quality and features this camera has to offer. Sharpness and detail are spot on and the image will appear to jump from the printed paper. I would be surprised if you get a bad shot of the first group that you take.
